Vettudaiyar Kaliamman Temple is dedicated to Vettudaya Kali located in Kollangudi, Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu. The temple has a small tower at the entrance and Lord Muruga and Lord Ganapathi on either side of it. The God, who can be seen through the main tower entrance, is Lord Vettudaiya Ayyanar. It is the experience of the devotees that any prayer placed at the feet of Mother for relief from poverty, illness and mental anguish is mercifully responded by mother without fail. They go to Kali to punish there who did wrong to them and the return of those who have been separated by the evil consequences. Ayyanar is with His consorts ‘Poorna’ and ‘Pushkala’ ‘Artha Mandapam’, a building which leads to sanctum sanctorum, has the idols of Lord Murugan and Lord Vinayagar. Sri Aiyanar is just opposite Mother Ambica in a sitting posture with his right leg hanging and holding a Danda in right hand. Mother Kali also is in sitting posture with right leg folded and the left hanging with sword, Kedayam the prevention disc, bow and arrow in hands. Also before Kali are Sri Anjaneya, Lords Meenakshi Sundareswarar, Solaimalai Vishnu, Karuppusamy, Veerappasamy, Muniappasami, Pechi Amman, Soolattukali and Lord Bhairava. Soolattukali appears prominent drawing the attention of all devotees.

Kari Velar used some deities to perform his Maantrika vidya. When the puja was performed to Aiyanar, He spread the sand before the shrine and wrote some letters. He found the letters belonging to him Kali and she founded. At present she is Vettudaya Kali. Aiyanar was brought from Eechangadu. He is named Vettudaya Aiyanar.
